This barrette uses an alligator clip and is quite small, so it will work with any hair type. 

The ceramic decoration was created in my Las Vegas studio. Beginning with raw clay, the focal bead was formed, dried slowly, fired in a kiln to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit, dipped in glaze, and then fired again to over 2300 degrees Fahrenheit.

The alligator clip is 1.75" total, with 1.5" for the actual clip. It weighs 10 grams.

All ceramic barrettes are fragile and may break if dropped. They are not intended for children.
